Vertical Mapping Resources, Inc. to Expand into New Headquarters

Scottsdale, Arizona, August 26th 2005

Following a very successful first three years, highlighted by numerous trade publication spotlights and industry awards; Scottsdale, Arizona-based Vertical Mapping Resources (VMR) now finds itself poised to breakout as an integrated mapping and land information service super power. Less than halfway into its production year, VMR has already accomplished asmany projects as it produced in all of 2004. Even more remarkable is that during this period of unprecedented growth, Vertical Mapping Resources’ production team hasmanaged to consistently take on numerous amounts of new projects without experiencing any professional fatigue. However, despite their track record of resilience, VMR’s growth strategy insisted that relocation into a much larger facility will eventually become inevitable. So, priding itself as a first mover when it comes to new technologies and methods; VMR has established itself into a new headquarters that will allow the future flexibility to grow both technically and professionally. Joseph Bartorelli, VMR’s President, describes exactly why the expansion was necessary to both better the company and expand on its vision: “Our slogan has been “An Evolution in Land Information”, and this move is just another stage in that evolution. We are in an expansionary period. The great part is that this move will bring so much more in the days to come. This phase will open up many new opportunities for the entire company. It’s very exciting.

The expansive new headquarters can be found in North Scottsdale’s Airpark. The state of the art facility was chosen for its overall fit into the VMR business plan and for future growth potential. This was seen as a necessity in order to maximize the company’s dedication to creativity, technical resources, and production capabilities. VMR’s headquarters is now over 10,000 square feet in size, well over three times that of the previous headquarters. Much of the new space has been filled with additional employees. As in recent weeks, VMR has hired additional mapping technicians and established a robust marketing department. These new additions to the company’s employee base have solidified VMR’s freedom to take on numerous additional projects at any time and still meet or beat deadlines.

In the production centers, only the latest ImageStation triangulation and photogrammetric packages are used. Along with the utilization of CADmap/dgn, the Z/I PhotoScan scanner and Z/I’s OrthPro software, each project task can be completed smoothly and precisely. However despite its exclusive use of the most cutting edge technologies, VMR is not content with simply being the best. Vertical Mapping Resources, Inc. wants to be the best integrated mapping and land information service for many years to come. Joseph Bartorelli, VMR’s President, explains: “I believe we are very fortunate to be working in an industry that we are extremely passionate about. I believe this passion comes across in our work. When we hear about a new technology that can help us perform our services, it excites us and motivates us to integrate that technology to its full potential.”

It is because of this passion that VMR regularly searches trade journals and consults with industry insiders to find the most accurate, reliable, and cost effective solutions that will change the very landscape of the industry in the future. When asked what the relocation of the VMR headquarters and the possibilities of new professional methods means to the company’s clients, Kurt Okraski, VMR’s Chief Executive Officer concluded: “We believe, without a shadow of a doubt, that we have an obligation to our clients to be prepared for any project regardless of size or scope. We believe with this relocation we have firmly positioned ourselves as a company that can make good on that promise.”
