VERTICAL MAPPING RESOURCES PROVIDES MAPPING SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF GLENDALE
Services provided include topographic mapping and digital orthophotography for the intelligent transportation system (ITS) infrastructure along Peoria Avenue.

September 1st, 2011, Scottsdale, Ariz. - Vertical Mapping Resources, Inc., a leading photogrammetric and geospatial land information firm with offices in both California and Arizona, recently contracted to complete design scale mapping for the City of Glendale.  The alignment covered Peoria Avenue between 43rd and 67th avenues and will be used for the intelligent transportation system (ITS) infrastructure.

The project includes design of planned expansion of the ITS infrastructure along Peoria Avenue and four new DMS leading into the downtown area.  Planned elements along Peoria Avenue include underground conduit, fiber optic cabling and closed circuit television cameras. 

VMR was contracted to provide 1”=40’ topographic mapping and digital orthophotography of approximately 8 miles of alignment along Peoria Avenue.  The project included acquisition of aerial photography for the stereoscopic feature collection and surface modeling.  VMR also produced an orthophoto mosaic of the site with a .25’ pixel resolution.
