VERTICAL MAPPING RESOURCES AWARDED ON-CALL MAPPING CONTRACT FOR THE METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT

Scottsdale, Arizona, October 25th, 2005 – Scottsdale, Arizona-based Vertical Mapping Resources (VMR) has been selected as an on-call surveying and mapping services consultant for the Metropolitan Water District of California (MWD). This announcement comes just weeks following the award of a similar agreement for the Maricopa Flood Control District. The Metropolitan Water District, which has worked with VMR on several projects in the past, will utilize the company exclusively over the course of the new on-call contract. Vertical Mapping Resources had been working under a different on-call agreement before this award that was set to expire in two years. The new contract will extend through the year 2009 and have a maximum payout of five million dollars. “It is very flattering when a government agency commits to your services for a substantial period of time”, explains Joseph Bartorelli, President of Vertical Mapping Resources. “We take great pride in our work, and it is nice to work with clients that share that pride.” VMR will begin work under the new agreement shortly and plan to build on their already stellar working relationship with the Metropolitan Water District of California.
