Justin Magill, CP
Senior Project Manager
Justin Magill is an ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist and serves as VMR’s Senior Project Manager. As Project Manager, Justin wears a lot of hats, most of which involve ensuring that clients’ projects stay on schedule, on budget, and meet the highest specifications and accuracy standards. He also performs and oversees a variety of production duties. Drawing upon his own experiences and knowledge, he works closely with VMR’s production staff and is constantly training and mentoring them.
Justin was born in Parkman, Ohio, which is a small town about an hour southeast of Cleveland. In August of 2005, looking to further his career in the field of Photogrammetry, he left his job with a well known Mid-Western mapping company and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, specifically to work with VMR.
Justin contributes to the ongoing forward momentum of VMR through his easy going personality, positive outlook, enthusiasm, dedication and just plain old hard work. He has consistently proven to deliver results that forward the company and helps in maintaining VMR’s already sterling reputation. He also brings a sense of unity to his colleagues and fellow employees, quoting “I truly believe that the only way for the work environment to reach its highest potential is for the entire staff to feel comfortable and unified in striving for a single, common goal as a team”
Justin is faced with new challenges every day. The fact that no two days are ever very similar and each day is new and exciting is what he loves the most about his position. He also thoroughly enjoys working closely with all of VMR’s clients and appreciates the relationships that have developed from the daily interaction. Beyond that he says working with VMR for the past 4 years has been an outstanding experience, quoting “I really enjoy the laidback but always professional, progressive and focused attitude of our team. A lot of effort has been placed on making sure everyone is comfortable and enjoys their work environment.”
Justin has had a passion of photography since he was 12. He doesn’t have as much time to actually shoot anymore, but enjoys viewing other artist’s work/galleries just as much. When he’s not at the office, he likes to be outdoors hiking or going to one of the many parks that surround Scottsdale and Phoenix. Just spending fun, quality time with his family is what he loves most of all. He especially enjoys the time he and his children ( daughters Isabelle (4) and Emma (2), and newborn son Liam) have to goof off together, whether they’re at the park, watching movies at home or embarrassing himself as he busts a move to Hannah Montana, it’s always a blast!
